Hamble Sea Scouts Today

We pride ourselves at Hamble Sea Scouts that we offer the boys of the area the best possible programme of youth adventure training and a whole load of fun.

Hamble Sea Scouts is without doubt, one of the most successful groups in the area, certainly we are the biggest. Our programme is extensive and exciting and is carried out throughout the year, (others shut during school holidays etc.)

Led by fully qualified and experienced Leaders. We cover every aspect of seamanship, whilst still carrying out those activities traditionally the preserve of Scouting.

We provide for the Scouts a practical introduction to sailing, canoeing, rowing, Dragon Boating and sailing, with voyages taken on board our 30ft Gaff Rigged Ketch "Stonechat" and 1720 sailing throughout the Solent and approaches.

Shore based activities include; First Aid, Safety at sea, Camping, Shooting, Archery, Hiking, Navigation, Pioneering, Orienteering, Camp Cooking, Swimming, Canoe Polo and In-pool canoe practice.

Offering experience in Seamanship and nationally recognised RYA and BCU qualifications, the Royal Navy, local companies and colleges are always keen to recruit Hamble Sea Scouts.
